Okay, after David Cook, here comes David Archuleta. A 17 years old boy who greatly take America’s breath away.
David Archuleta was born in Miami, Florida to James Jeffrey Archuleta and Lupe Marie Archuleta. He has three younger siblings, Amber, Daniel and Jazzy, and an older sister, Claudia. Archuleta’s family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when Archuleta was thirteen and currently lives in Murray, Utah, where Archuleta is a student at Murray High School. The only regular job he has had was over the summer of 2007 as a sound “techie” at a park amphitheater. He once suffered partial vocal paralysis but refrained from risky surgery and feels he is almost fully recovered.
Archuleta started singing when he was six because he was inspired by a Les Misérables video. “That musical is what started all of this,” he said. He started performing publicly at ten years old when he participated in the Utah Talent Competition singing “I Will Always Love You” by Dolly Parton; he received a standing ovation, and won the kid division.
Archuleta’s mother is from Honduras, and much of the music he listened to as a child, according to an interview aired on American Idol, was Latin-influenced. She also “was big on dancing” according to Archuleta, and would “make” him dance to traditional music with his older sister. He also listened to jazz music, he said, from his father’s collection as well as gospel, pop, rock and “soulful music”. In a later interview he also revealed that his dad was a jazz musician. Archuleta also enjoys Broadway musicals.
On his American Idol “Fast Facts” page, Archuleta cites his musical influences as Natalie Cole, Stevie Wonder, Kirk Franklin and Bryan Adams. When asked to list his top pop artists, he cites Natasha Bedingfield, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bryan Adams, Kirk Franklin, and Robbie Williams. He also cites Tamyra Gray and Elliott Yamin as his favorite former American Idol contestants. Like Yamin and another singer he admires, John Mayer, Archuleta aspires to infuse his pop selections with a soulful vibe.
Here is Archuleta list of performance in American Idol.

Can’t wait to see their performance!!
This week, on Tuesday, American Idol 7 will hold the very last stage of this season competition. And I will give you a sneak-peek to each finalists. I’ll begin with David Cook.
Cook was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Blue Springs, Missouri. Cook’s interest in music began early in life; he received his first guitar at the age of 2. He began singing in second grade, when his elementary school music teacher gave him a solo in a school choir performance. He proceeded to perform in virtually every Christmas and PTA program. He also participated in choir and drama programs in middle school and high school. At Blue Springs South High School, he performed in musicals, including The Music Man, West Side Story, and Singin’ in the Rain.He had also been an avid baseball player during high school. After losing interest in sports, he focused more on music. He earned a theater scholarship to the University of Central Missouri, but he abandoned theater after two semesters, graduating from the school in 2006 with a degree in graphic design. While in college, he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa. After his college graduation, he relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma to pursue his career in music, telling his family, “I just want to give myself until I’m 26 years old to get a job.”
Cook was the lead singer and guitarist of the band Axium from 1999 until 2006. He formed Axium in his junior year of high school with drummer Bobby Kerr. One of the band’s songs, “Hold,” was picked up by AMC Theatres Movie Tunes and was played before previews on over 20,000 screens nationwide. Axium was also named one of the top 15 independent bands in the country in the “Got Milk?” independent band contest, and it was chosen as the best band in Kansas City in 2004.
In 2006, after the breakup of Axium, Cook relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and joined the regional touring band Midwest Kings, playing guitar, bass, and singing backup vocals. He recorded one EP, Incoherent with Desire to Move On, with the band in 2006. He also worked as a bartender at several Tulsa clubs, including Blank Slate and Rehab Lounge.
Cook released a solo independent album, Analog Heart, in 2006, the year he graduated from the college. It was written from 2004 to 2006, and he designed the artwork as well. The album was chosen as the fourth-best CD released in 2006 by website Music Equals Life. Cook also won the Urban Tulsa Weekly’s “Absolute Best of Tulsa” award for “Best Locally Produced, Independent Album” in 2007. He had completed recording his sophomore album before his appearance on American Idol.Over the weekend of April 18 to April 20, 2008, Analog Heart was listed as the number one album for “Today’s Top MP3 Albums” on Amazon.com. Soon there after, the album was removed from Amazon.
Here is the list of Cook performance in American Idol.

Hope you’re doing great in the final!! I’m a big fans of yours.. Hahahah
Ngga kerasa ya? udah seminggu kita disuguhi tayangan bulutangkis sehari 2 kali. Jam 1 siang dan jam 6 sore. Seluruh Indonesia bersuka.
Kenyataannya? Perjuangan mereka luar biasa. Semangat mereka luar biasa. MEREKA LUAR BIASA.
Nonton final piala Uber?
Pertandingan kedua, ganda pertama Indonesia, Lilyana Natsir/Vita Marissa melawan ganda putri no.1 dunia Yang Wei/Zhang Jie Wen. Mereka kalah? iya.
Kita kalah. Hendra off banget hari itu kalo menurut gw. Kido ky main sendirian, dan tiap kali bola dipukul ke arah Hendra, pasti pasangan Korea dapet angka. Hendra bilang ganda kita ini kalah kekuatan tangan dibanding mereka. Satu masalah akhirnya terangkat ke permukaan. Bisa jadi ini masalah kesiapan fisik? Mungkin.
Semangat kebangsaan lewat olahraga bernama BULUTANGKIS. SEMANGAAAAATTTTT!!!
I sort of grabbing the news from yahoo and AP. While last night, it hasn’t been confirmed, it is now. She retires from pro tennis due to her faded motivation. I conclude the news from yahoo below.
LIMELETTE, Belgium (AP)—The determination that helped Justine Henin beat bigger, stronger opponents time and again was fading.
“I decided,” the 25-year-old Belgian said, “to stop fooling myself and accept it.”
Henin retired from tennis Wednesday, an abrupt ending to a career in which she won seven Grand Slam singles titles and spent more than 100 weeks ranked No. 1.
She announced her decision at a news conference 1 1/2 weeks before the start of the French Open, where she has won the past three titles and four overall.
Put simply, she realized she was burned out, and became the first woman to quit the sport while atop the WTA rankings.
“I always based everything on this motivation—this flame—that was in me. And once I lost that, I lost many, many things,” Henin said.
Surprising as her departure was to the rest of the world, it seemed somehow inevitable to her.
After reaching the final at each Grand Slam tournament in 2006, she won 10 tournaments in 2007, including two majors. But this season, she started to find it an ever bigger chore to pack her luggage to travel to tournaments. Her legs felt heavy when she should have been dancing in the backcourt, ready to turn another one of those sparkling backhands into a winner.
When she was hurt, she no longer minded if an injury lingered. Ever since being discovered as a child prodigy, tennis was everything to Henin. Now, though, tennis was making it clear that her time was up.
“Everything became harder,” Henin said. “I felt, deep inside, something was getting out of my grasp.”
She lost 6-4, 6-0 to Maria Sharapova in the Australian Open, then 6-2, 6-0 to Serena Williams at the Sony Ericsson Open in April—the worst loss for a top-ranked player in nine years.
At last week’s German Open, Henin lost 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 to Dinara Safina. Then she pulled out of this week’s Italian Open, citing fatigue.
“At the end of the match in Berlin, (retirement) all of a sudden was there as something evident,” Henin said.
Her announcement came a day after one of the greatest female golfers in history said she’s quitting: Annika Sorenstam, owner of 10 major titles and one of six women to complete a career Grand Slam in her sport, is walking away at the end of the season.
Henin, however, won’t have any sort of farewell tour. She is retiring immediately.
“I had reached my limits, and I feel strong and relieved that I could take this decision,” she said. “There are plenty of things that I can do. There are no regrets. I did everything I had to do in tennis.”
In addition to her four French Open titles, Henin won the Australian Open in 2004, and the U.S. Open in 2003 and 2007. She has been ranked No. 1 since Nov. 13, 2006, except for a seven-week period last year when Sharapova held the top spot, and won nearly $20 million in career prize money.
“She was a great champion,” said Williams, who lost to Henin in a contentious 2003 French Open quarterfinal, “and she gave me a world of trouble.”
The only Grand Slam title to elude Henin is Wimbledon, where she was runner-up in 2001 and 2006.
“Winning Wimbledon would not make me happier than I am,” she said.
Winning again at Roland Garros would make no difference, either, no matter how much that event means to her. Henin dedicated her first victory there to her mother, who died of cancer when Justine was 12. When Henin won there last year, it capped a reunion with her father and siblings, from whom she’d been estranged for several years.
“That was awesome. It was a great feeling, and I am going to keep that feeling forever now,” she said. “I won Roland Garros four times, three times in a row. I don’t have to live that moment again. I know how it was.”
Throughout her career, Henin has had to beat the odds.
With her 5-foot-5 3/4 , 126-pound frame, she had to figure out how to deal with foes who could hit the ball harder. With a superb one-handed backhand, amazing speed and grit, she rose to the top of the sport.
“She always challenged herself to play her best tennis no matter what the circumstances. She was just a real fighter, so I think that was really what made her best,” Venus Williams said.
“Justine Henin will be remembered as one of the all-time great champions in women’s tennis, and a woman who made up for her lack of size with a will to win and fighting spirit that was second to none,” WTA Tour CEO Larry Scott said. “It is rare that an athlete leaves at the very top of her game in this day and age, but Justine has always played by her own rules, in the very best sense of those words.”
Henin was away from the tour for months at a time in 2004 and 2005 because of an energy-sapping blood virus and assorted injuries, including to her knee and back. In early 2007, she divorced from Pierre-Yves Hardenne and dropped his last name.
Throughout last season, Henin said she had finally found a balance in her life between personal self-fulfillment and doggedly pursuing tennis titles.
Now it appears that changed. Perhaps she took note when Kim Clijsters— another Belgian who was ranked No. 1 and won a Grand Slam title—retired at 23 last year. Clijsters has since married and become a mother.
Dressed in a simple white T-shirt and jeans, her brown hair in a ponytail, Henin spoke in French for nine minutes before taking questions Wednesday. She never lost her composure and held the microphone firmly.
The news conference was at the Justine N1 academy in a village about 20 miles outside of Brussels. It has a smattering of her beloved clay courts, where she wants to train and coach youngsters.
Family and children may come, but for now, and for once, there is no rush.
Well, I guess she’s still too young to retire now, and I know she will be in her top form again in no time. But, she is the one who know herself best, and this thought of retiring must be a very long thought before she has definite decission. So, lets hope the best for her and her life afterward.
She’s the greatest in her generation comparing to all her competitors. and I am really gonna miss her one-backhand move after this.

WTA currently world number one Justine Henin announced that she quitted tennis. The 25-year-old Belgian made the surprising announcement at a news conference Wednesday, less than two weeks before the start of the French Open. She has won that clay-court major championship four times, including each of the past three years.
“This is the end of a child’s dream,” Henin said. “This is a definitive decision. Those who know me know it is serious.”
After winning ten titles last year, including her 6th and 7th grand slam on French and US open, Henin has been in one of her worst season so far with nothing but loses before semifinal since February when she won the Antwerp tournament.
“I thought long about this,” Henin said, her voice cracking and eyes watering. “I started thinking about it late last year. I was at the end of the road. I leave with my head held high.”
All of this was still a breaking news and none has proven it right. So I’ll get back again later.

Indonesia ramai!!
Ah, kesel gila gw nontonnya.. Sony ngga semangat, Taufik ngeremehin. payah banget d. Untung gandanya bagus.
Lawan Jerman, walopun menang 5-0, menurut gw mainnya masih belom pol ah.
Jangan sampe gt lg. SEMANGATTTTT!!!!!! Gw pasti nonton ke stadion kalo Indonesia masuk final.
Piala UBER
Hebatlah perjuangannya mah.
Happy birthday.. dimanapun kamu, aku selalu ngedoain.. Baik-baik selalu yah.. Miss u too much.. hehehehe.. I hope I can be the first and also the last person to greet you happy birthday today..
