Wow, I have already entered the 2nd month since I’ve arrived here in Balikpapan. I’ll tell the story from the very start. In some posts before, I have told you that I now am training as BPS Pertamina, right? This is the next phase.
It is called OJT. Actually the OJT itself has been started since middle May where we worked at Kwarnas getting to know ‘MySAP’ for a month before we all were distributed to the refineries. So, when the end of our togetherness in Jakarta was coming, everyone was excitingly (i wanna say worrily actually haha) asking ‘WHERE AM I GOING TOOOO???!!’
Everyone has to be prepared to be placed wherever, and since the place will be projected as our work-place-to-be, i wouldn’t confused if anyone was excited about it. And here I am. Balikpapan.
I might be one of the lucky person to have her request for being placed in Balikpapan granted. So I’m happy here. This was the answer of my prayer if I could say so. I asked to be placed wherever God say the best for me and accompanied with the best friend too. and look what i’ve got now, i’m in the place where I want to be with friends whom I thought were incredible.
That’s the theme in this post. My Friends (actually I haven’t quiet figured this city out, so.. I better tell you stories about my friends. Haha). I came here with 5 friends accompanying. Now, we live together in a house which is really comfy and of course, I selfishly choose the biggest room available.

First, I’ll tell you about a very-gentle-kind-handsome guy (actually they’re all guy
) named Hoho. Well, that name was strictly adapted from his full name. Achmad Dwi Nugroho. At first he was called by many of our friends Hohox, but I thought it was completely weird so instead of Hohox, I called him Hoho. He was one of the closest friend of mine. Well, that could be read as I depended a lot to him. I used to borrow his Laptop, eating his ice cream, asking him to help me on soooo many things, and now, his new role is my pick-up-and-deliver driver. Hahaha. Many thanks for you, Ho. YOU ARE THE BEST
Second, I’ll tell you about Rendra. Really, I don’t know how, but it’s as if we have the same brain. Everytime we looked at a thing, what we think about it first time is almost-always the same thing! Hahaha. He’s the youngest among us, so to me he’s like my brother and everyone really thinks so. He recently got himself a girlfriend and -if I may say- really devoted himself to her. Haha. He’s nice though, the one I enjoy having chit-chat with (aside of Hoho). and the one I can tell all my story to. and the one when doing ’shi*ty’ things always looked at me in the eye. Yeah, we’re having fun by doing ’shi*ty’ things together. Haha.
Third one, my long-time-friend from college, Fahmi. He calculated everything very fairly and carefully (well, it turns out that he is a little bit stingy in which he has admitted it himself. Haha). And he is a friend which I can’t synchronize my thought to. If Rendra is having my brain, I would say Fahmi has my opposite brain. Hehe. We almost-always debate on everything. I have this urge to keep reasoning with him rather than agreeing. and he complicates a lot of things too. Haha. Peace, Mi. But, he helps me organizing things, and by the way, he’s our leader. Good job, Mi!
Next one is Zaerul whom has-just-become father. Yipppiiieee. Congratulation, Mas. Your child will become our niece! Hihi. He has the maturity of a person who has married yet he can act like one of us (the single, I mean, and the young. Hahaha). Since he has the experience in managing household stuffs, he has helped me a lot with it – seems like I need help from many people
– and I genuinely thank him for that. He once shared a simple lecture called Ho-Ren-So and it’s a really great things to share.
Last but not least, our Head Class, Iwan. He was the only one who originally comes from East Kalimantan, Tenggarong to be exact, the richest city in Indonesia. Wowwww. He has gone out from the city since high school, gone further to Bandung to study for college and now he’s back to work here. Yeah, well, not exactly in his hometown though, but 2 hours by bus isn’t that far, rite? anyway, he’s a great leader, and a good ’sambal’ maker too. and a cat lover (which really the opposite of me). Hehe.
That’s all. An introduction to ‘My Five’. The best part of having them around is that you feel safe and protected and they won’t let you bring anything heavy (actually, they even don’t let me bring anything
) and you always get a ride to the office! Hehehe. And I can practice my cooking ability. You won’t believe me, they practically eat everything I cook for them. Hahaha. But, I would say that the food is still representable and most importantly eat-able. Hahaha.
Yeah, still enjoying Balikpapan. Wait for the next post!
